The short version: Nurevo collects only what's needed to scan food and run your account. We never sell your personal data, and you can export or delete everything at any time. This policy is a plain-language template — replace it with your reviewed legal copy before launch.

1. What we collect

We collect the information you give us and a little about how you use the app:

  • Account details — your email and, optionally, your name and dietary goals.
  • Scan & diary data — the foods you scan, the resulting scores, and entries you save to your diary.
  • Camera input — images are processed to recognize food and are not stored after analysis unless you choose to save them.
  • Device & usage data — app version, device type, and anonymized interaction events that help us fix bugs and improve features.

2. How we use it

Your data powers the product and nothing shadier:

  • To recognize foods, calculate health scores, and personalize goals and swaps.
  • To sync your diary across your devices.
  • To improve scoring accuracy and food recognition in aggregate.
  • To provide support and send essential service messages.

3. What we never do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not let brands pay to influence a health score. We share data only with the processors required to run the service (for example, cloud hosting) under strict data-protection agreements.

4. Your rights & choices

Wherever you live, you can:

  • Access & export your full food log as CSV from Profile → Privacy.
  • Correct any information in your account at any time.
  • Delete your account and associated data permanently, with no dark-pattern hoops.
  • Opt out of anonymized analytics in settings.

5. Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your information only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep limited records.
